Get to know the Salon 22 Team!

Owner/Master Stylist/AVEDA educator

In 1999, without a clue of what I wanted my future to look like, I enrolled myself into a cosmetology program. Immediately, I knew I had embarked on something very special. My days at the salon are filled with wonderful people, great conversation and creativity- what more can anyone ask for? In 2008, opportunity knocked and Salon 22 came to life.

In 2016, my desire to live a healthier lifestyle led me and Salon 22 to AVEDA. Combining an Earth friendly approach with naturally derived products and colors, we are able to provide our guests (and our planet) with a healthier experience. Along with our commitment to reducing chemical use at Salon 22, I am proud to say that we recycle all eligible materials.

Soon after becoming absolutely obsessed with all things AVEDA, I began studying, taking classes and ultimately auditioning for the opportunity to join AVEDA’s color education team! In 2021, I was hired as an AVEDA PUREfessional Color Educator. WIth this honor, I’ve had the privilege to train directly under AVEDA’s global artistic director of hair color. My new role will have me traveling to salons in the New England area where I will educate their teams on the ‘nuts and bolts’ of AVEDA hair color. Along with my travels, I will be bringing the most up to date knowledge to the talented Salon 22 team.

My goal as a salon owner is to provide a professional, clean and friendly atmosphere for my team and our guests. Encouraging my team to grow, learn and excel keeps me enlightened and pushes me to continue my own growth.

Salon Coordinator

In 2018, with over 20 years of salon customer service experience, I joined the Salon 22 team. From the beginning, I knew that I had found my salon home. Our little salon is a hidden jewel and we are lucky to have such wonderful people visiting us every day. I am at my best when I am supporting my team and ensuring that every guest receives the best salon experience.

When I am not with my Salon 22 family, I am busy chasing my twin teenage girls around CT.

Give us a call, I will be the friendly voice that greets you!

Ever since I can remember my dream was to be a hairstylist. As I pursued my dream in cosmetology school, I realized my passion and interests in color, cut, texture and design. I find it truly rewarding when I can see my clients feeling beautiful and happy with the process and end results.

I’m thrilled to be a part of the talented team at Salon 22. Working with the Aveda line, I have the ability to educate my clients on a healthier and eco friendly lifestyle for their hair and beauty. I look forward to meeting and building a rapport with new friends here at Salon 22!

After many years of experimenting on friends and family’s hair, in 2010 I became a professional hair stylist and have enjoyed being in the industry ever since then. The most rewarding part of my career is having the ability to make clients look and feel confident about themselves. Building confidence in others starts in understanding each client as an individual.

Continuing my education ensures that I stay on top of the latest trends and allows me to create new looks for my clients while maintaining the health and integrity of the hair. The all-natural and high performing Aveda line allows me to achieve just that. I am proud to be a part of a team of professionals committed to providing quality and environmentally friendly hair services.

Making Connecticut even more beautiful one guest at time. Originally from New York, I embarked on my journey in the craft of hairdressing in 2004 at Capri Cosmetology Learning Center in Nanuet, New York. From there, I attended the AVEDA Institute in New York City for advanced education. I quickly became a highly sought after stylist and colorist at an AVEDA Concept Salon in New York. While working full time as a stylist and colorist, I attended and graduated summa cum laude from the Fashion Institute of Technology holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Cosmetic and Fragrance Marketing. Upon graduation from FIT, I was hired by Estée Lauder Companies to join the Product Development team for a sister brand to AVEDA called Bumble and bumble in New York City. I used my love and expertise in creating gorgeous hair to help develop editorial-quality hair care and styling products that are used and sold in salons across the world. In 2011, I had the opportunity to study and become a stylist Network Educator for Bumble and bumble. I held in-salon classes across the country to teach, inspire, and motivate fellow stylists. In 2015; I grew into a role as a Sales and Salon Development Partner. I spent the majority of my time working with and traveling to AVEDA and Bumble and bumble salons across the country to help grow their businesses. While traveling, I was asked to become the Assistant Director of the AVEDA Institute in Jacksonville, Florida. Excited for the opportunity to make a difference; I used my extensive knowledge, expertise, and passion for hairdressing to inspire cosmetology students and upcoming hair professionals. I have continued working behind the chair as a stylist and colorist throughout my journey. I have been so blessed to have had, and continue to have incredible opportunities in all areas of the beauty industry.

My heart, passion, enthusiasm, and talent undoubtedly lies in the salon behind the chair working on my beautiful guests.

I have over 17 years of in salon experience and first class advanced education from many of the world’s lead education facilities and hair artists; including those at the AVEDA Advanced Academy. I love and find joy in continuing my personal education, working alongside like-minded professionals, and having the humbling opportunity to make my guests look and feel incredibly beautiful.

In 2021, my husband’s career brought our family home to the Northeast and my career has come full circle. I am so honored to do what I love alongside unparalleled professionals and join the Salon 22 family.

After years of doing hair for myself and others, I finally realized I should become a (real) hairstylist! I graduated from the Aveda Institute Provo in 2012 and developed a deep love for all things Aveda. I have been using other product lines for the past few years, so I am very excited to be back in the cool club and excited to be joining the great team at Salon22. I love all things hair and lashes, but I especially enjoy cutting shorter styles.
